A seminar named “Branding Strategies of FMCG” was held for the students of Daffodil International University organized by Career Development Center (CDC) on July 12, 2014 at DIU Digital Classroom.
Mr. Atique Akbar, Senior Brand Manager, ACI Foods Limited was present as the Keynote Speaker of this session. He delivered some theoritical and practical ideas about branding. He provided the definition of Brand to the participants. He said that A Brand is a person’s gut feeling about a product, service and organization. He added that it’s a person gut feeling because brands are defined by individuals not companies, market or publics.

He stated that people use brand because it gives some of personality, security and good quality. He said that brand has impact on employee motivation and retention, channel partners’ (distributor) confidence and investment, company image and portfolio. It has also impact on country’s GDP etc. After this, the keynote speaker shared a Case Study of Fun Litchi Candy of ACI Foods Limited. The participants were enjoyed the case study and learnt the process of marketing through this.
Students were engaged with various quarries in Questions answer session. A total number of 37 students were present on the seminar and they enjoyed the whole session, and it will be very effective for students those are looking for a good career in marketing.
At the end of the session Mr. Syed Maruf Reza, Director, Career Development Center (CDC) of DIU, handed over The Crest to the Honorable guest Mr. Atique Akbar.
