Career Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil International University has taken an initiative for the graduating students to improve their potentiality through a Mock Interview Session. The program was held on August 09 and 11, 2014 at DIU Digital Classroom and DIU Media Lab from 02:00 pm to 06:00 pm.

The program was divided by three different sessions. First session was the theoretical session about Effective Job Interview Skills. Dr. Mohd Hasanur Raihan Joarder, Visiting Senior Lecturer of Universiti Utara Malaysia was conducting the whole session. He provided various ideas regarding job interview skills to the students so that students can perceive and use it in their life. He said that ajob interview is a process in which a potential candidate is evaluated by an employer for prospective employment in the company. He also said that Job interview is NOT only Question and Answer Session. Job interview is useful to get a sense of the enthusiasm &commitment a candidate has for the job. He emphasized on five phases of interview. Such as Interview preparation, interview day, interview room, closing of interview and follow up. At the end of the session the Director of Career Development Center handed over the crest to the honorable guest.
Students were engaged with various quarries in Questions answer session about how to make aa proper resume, how to face an interview etc. A total number of 13 registered students from different disciplines were present on the workshop and they enjoyed the whole session, and it will be very effective for students those are looking for a good career.
The second session was the real interview session for the registered participants. Mr. Nazrul Islam, Deputy General Manager, Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited was present as the chief interviewer. He was assisted by Mr. Syed Maruf Reza, Director, Career Development Center of DIU and Mr. Md. Shumsud Doha, Assistant Director, Career Development Center of DIU. Total number of 13 registered participants faced a Mock Interview in a real environment. Their interviews were recorded so that they can see themselves and correct their lacking as well as mistake. After the interview, in the third session, the chief interviewer passed a long time with the participants and shared different aspects of interview and tried to show their shortcomings in the interview board. At the end of the session the Director of Career Development Center handed over the crest to the honorable guest.

There was also a certificate giving ceremony where the participated students received certificate and best 3 performers got the award and certificate from the guest.
